North Richmond Community Meeting

May 13, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm

We want to send out a big thank you to all the North Richmond residents and community members who attended the community meeting for Envision Contra Costa 2040! Around 34 people came to engage in a wide-ranging conversation about the future of North Richmond. Among other topics, some of the comments that were shared included:

·         Promote a healthy and safe environment.

·         Address noise, safety, and pollution issues associated with truck traffic.

·         Maintain and expand affordable housing opportunities.

·         Address homelessness in a dignified and respectful way.

·         Fill vacant lots with community amenities, such as community gardens.

·         Improve accessibility and reliability of public transportation.

·         Encourage commercial development that works with and benefits residents.

·         Improve access to healthy and fresh food.

·         Improve and connect trails and Wildcat Creek.
