Bay Point and Clyde Community Meeting
April 18, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Thank you to all of the Bay Point and Clyde residents that came out to talk about Envision Contra Costa 2040! Almost 20 people came to discuss the future of these communities and engage in a wide-ranging conversation. Residents from both communities said they enjoy a small-town feeling, appreciate BART and other transportation access, and feel supported by the great community services that are provided. Among many other topics, some of the key issues that were identified include:
- Illegal dumping and abandoned cars
- Need for a diverse range of local business opportunities & jobs
- Homelessness, housing affordability, and protection from displacement
- Lack of connectivity, related to both infrastructure issues and inability to access open spaces
- Improved street and trail lighting
